San Diego is a great place to get street tacos, and there are so many delicious places to choose from. This is definitely a must try if you are visiting from out of town. Fish is crispy and the condiments that go on with the taco are really good. Fell apart on me though… And I wish there was more sauce because that’s where the flavor is. It was fun to sit and watch joggers go up and down the steps at the conference center.

This is my first 1-star review. I read the reviews and thought it would be good. The restaurant crew were great and very friendly, that's what made this difficult. They were out of oysters, so I ordered fish and clams as a combo. Neither were edible. They were hard and rubbery and tasted old. I ended up leaving an entire plate practically untouched.

Outdoor seating is what this place has for it. My friend disagrees with me on the food. He's from OC and said he wishes there was a place like this up there. I can think of other fish and chip places I like better like Dan Diego's, Shakespeare's Pub, or Mr. Fish and Chips. But they aren't in the middle of the convention center action. The fries were weirdly textured and the fish was thin with minced fish meat. They seem to be dog friendly.

This place is one of our go to places when working at the convention center. They have several different types of fish, as well as chicken tacos if fish isn't your thing. The tacos come a la carte. If the weather is nice then this is a great place to sit outside with a beer or a cocktail. There is a decent amount of people watching that can happen here.

There will never be enough stars for the place! A must-go-to in the city. Yes, be prepared, cash only. The wait is well worth it. I will never visit San Francisco without making a stop here. The smoked trout is my favorite on the menu! And of course all the different options of Tin Fish Gaslamp. But you really can't go wrong with anything at this gem.
